Tried posting in the Harley forum...but may have better luck here. Game was fine last week and now won't boot. Gi lights come on but nothing else.
Pulled the cpu board and found battery corrosion....cleaned also pulled the cpu chip and cleaned it as well. Looks like some of it's pins may have been shorted together. Game still will not boot and l204 is flashing on the main power board. I installed the Harley board on my south park and it was non responsive as well. I tried to boot without the cpu chip and the dmd came on and then went off...along with the boot ping noise. I cannot replicate this now. Don't know if the rom got killed or I have another problem but any advice would be appreciated. The board cleaned up and I don't see damage fwiw.
Does anyone know where I could get new roms?

    Battery acid (alkaline) is insidious.

It gets into the metal of the traces and the wires, and can cause problems years later.

I would send this board to a professional.

If you wish to do the repair yourself, you'll need to carefully wash the alkaline affected areas with vinegar, and start replacing anything that is dull, grey, or had whitish powder on it with fresh shiny parts. I wouldn't trust that eprom, or it's socket. I'd strongly suspect the ram socket. and the ram chip (underneath). U213 is another socket and chip that I'd suspect.

Then you'll have to trace every connection on all the pins in the compromised area to find out if the address and data lines have been compromised.

You might get lucky, and the battery acid (alkaline) damage might be confined to the eprom and it's socket, but the slightest bit of alkaline that you don't get will start chewing it's way into the connections, and will cause problems further down the road.

I'd send it to a professional.

    Good luck!

Thank you for the advice. I cleaned it today with vinegar and a new tooth brush. Multiple times and followed up with 91% alcohol. I'm going to replace the rom chip and hope I get lucky. I just don't see any damage...but I know that doesn't mean much. Pics after clean up. If this doesn't work then the board goes out for repair.
