I've contacted pinball brothers and included are screenshots of their advice. Basically it's to take apart the xeno head and readjust all the stuff tightening it up

Upon start up it cycles the xeno head. It is supposed to extend the tongue and the retract it back in the head. Except I doesn't seem to want to retract back in and gets stuck. Anyone else run into this issue. I haven't tried the fix they sent me yet but curious if anyone else has encountered this before I take apart everything.

If the tongue doesn’t retract it has not enough contact with the cog gear. You need exactly to do what they told you: bring the tongue closer to the cog so it gets traction.

On mine, the "tongue" was binding on the top edge of the hole in the backboard of the playfield WHEN a ball was on the magnet. The weight of the ball tilted the shaft up in the back and rubbed against the wood, preventing it from "eating" the ball. Adjusted the base of the mech and got it to work.
